HONG KONG - 7 Sept., 2008 - Hong Kong Legislative Council Election 2008 (香港特別行政區第四屆立法會選舉) was held on 7 September 2008. The election is for the fourth term of the Legislative Council, after the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. There are 60 seats in the Council for the fourth term with 30 Members returned by geographical constituencies through direct elections, and 30 Members by functional constituencies.
